History came to life as Union Pacific's legendary Big Boy 4014, the largest operating steam locomotive in the world, made its highly anticipated visit to Pottstown. Thousands of railroad enthusiasts, families, and community members gathered to witness this once in a lifetime event, taking in the incredible sights and unmistakable sounds of the historic steam giant.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Pottstown Fire Department for inviting Ringing Hill to assist in welcoming both the train and the many visitors who came to experience this remarkable occasion.

Working together, Tower 59 and Quint 69 proudly created a ceremonial ladder arch displaying the American flag. The display served as a fitting tribute to the historic locomotive and was greatly appreciated by the many spectators who stopped to admire and photograph it.

In addition to helping welcome the train, our members remained available throughout the event to assist with heat related emergencies and other public safety needs. With temperatures soaring throughout the day, ensuring the wellbeing of attendees was an important part of our mission.

Thank you again to the Pottstown Fire Department for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of such a historic and memorable day. It was an honor to work alongside our neighboring department in helping make this incredible event a success.
